Late night sewing

For well over a year there have been road work outside my flat - these days they are doing the finishing touches, which means night work. They have not been too much of a bother for me, except for the last couple of nights. Coming home from the cinema last night there was a lot of noice, and not much chance of sleep, and I figured why not get some work done on my Sister's Choice quilt - border sewing galore till way into the night:

It still needs a good press, but aside from that it's ready to be layered and quilted - yey!!!

Hope you're enjoying your weekend!
Hugs and stitches from
Anne Ida

Your Sister's Choice top came out great, Anne Ida, the alternate backgrounds are very effective. I have noticed that all your photos are taken from the side with the quilts laying on the floor. If you ever have the chance for someone to hold up the quilts for you, I'd love to see some of them head on.

On a different note, I have an envelope here for you, with a certain blue/green block and it's accompanying block. It even has stamps on it already, but I won't be able to mail it until Tuesday.

I love the colors in this. Great composition.

Bra gjort. Noen ganger får man bare utnytte tida om natta til sying også. Ses på lørdag :)

Every cloud has a silver lining - lol ! It is a lovely quilt - I have made a couple of sisters choice quilts before but mine were more scrappy. I love the fabrics you've used xx

That's a lovely top, and you work really fast! I had to check when you made your first post about the sisters choice blocks, and it was only 3 weeks ago. I wish my sleepless nights meant getting some quilting done instead of just tossing and turning. Impressed:-)

Boy, Anne Ida,
That fushia border, right before the piano keys really makes it pull together very nicely.
