At this time of the year one of my favorite flowers - the Forget me not - are in bloom. You can find them almost everywhere, bringing that tiny splash of powder blue to a green background. This year I found a small cluster of white ones in my parents garden
Another white spring beauty is the apple blossom - and I love that delicate touch of blushy pink
My sister's birthday was Friday, and for dinner we made sushi for the very first time.
Don't know quite what we did wrong, but the rice stuck to everything but itself, and since it stuck to the sea weed we ended up making all maki rolls - they look far from perfect, but they tasted great - how bad can it get with top grade salmon and rice ;-)

En av mine absolutte favoritter har alltid vært forglem-meg-ei, og mamma'en minn har også disse hvite i hagen sin. De er bare så nydelige!
Ønsker deg en flott ny og ubrukt uke,
Laila
The sushi looks fine! Congratulations on your sister´s birthday.
Beautiful flowers! I never got a chance of taking pictures of our apple blossoms....it rained them off too soon.
I'd hate to admit it but in nearly fifty years in Japan, I have never made sushi. Yours looks great to me!
Your sushi look delicious!! We've made it a few times and it is a bit messy to make...but tastes so good!
the sushi looks like all I have seen....Happy Birthday. Thank you for your sweet comment on my Sunflower quilt...my email wasn't working for some reason this morning; so here I am....thanks again...I love the work you have at the top of your page; so I am going to follow you and have a better look later on when I have more time...
Anne Ida,
The flower pics are lovely!! We have been so dry here, no wild flowers at all this year. I did have some fruit flowers - apricot, peach and plum - but apple blossoms are the perfect shade! Waiting for my daughter to send my camera (still!!)so I can upload some pics and pass them on.Happy Quilting
