Small things

Wish I could have shown some progress on my Ocean Waves quilt, but I'm still waiting for the backing fabric... Anyway, the summer and the heat in the city has sort of scared me away from the sewing machine (and especially the iron!) - not complaining that summer is finally here, but it's just so warm... over the last week I have only managed some small things:

Finishing a stitchery for one of the Butterfly Garden blocks, and a DJ block (not many pieces in this one *lol*). Tally is now DJ - 18 and BG - 17; slow progress is better than no progress, right?

I have also managed to get the binding on a couple of the mini quilts :o) This is how they turned out - pretty cute:

Hope everyone is having a great week!
Sincerely, Anne Ida

PS! Claire over at Quiltygal has a giveaway - Sunday is last chance to enter :o)

Your little minis are absolutely gorgeous! And yes, you are right, slow progress is better than no progress! I'll better try to make some slow progress my self, because here is no progress at all!
Hope you'll find some way to escape from the warm weather in the city. You are welcome to come to my place, sit out on the patio, feel the nice breeze when you look out over the sea! Wonderful!

Am I seeing this right? Did you do stitchery in that block on the right? That's so neat!

Oh and those mini quilts are too cute.

Slow progress is also good. I've going to start speeding up now when I've finished painting the house. And I'm thinking more and more starting DJblocks again.
But first sew togehter the two next butterfly garden blocks so they are ready to be stitched.
Your minis are so cute :)

Hi. Your minis are great. It is hot here also so most of my sewing are in my head. ;-)
But I have a lot of smal stitcheries to start on.
Have a great summer day.

Your mini quilts are wonderful! They look super.
We're finally about to get some hot weather too. Perhaps the summer should be dedicated to small quilts. :-)

Slow progress is always good! You know, "one stitch a time.."!
Your mini quilts look great! They are fun to make, aren!t they? And faster as the big ones! LOL!
The weather here is also a bit too warm, I can't concentrate sometimes. But the hands can't stay quiet either!!!So, some stitches and everything is fine!

Nice work on the DJ block. I am not familiar with the Butterfly Garden, but the block sure is pretty.
