Then there were three

Remember my feathered star? I have found that I really enjoy making the block, and now the total tally is three:

Hopefully I'll have 12 of these blocks for a quilt someday (I have a plan, but not a sewing schedule *lol*). They are time consuming, one block takes me aproximately two efficient evenings to make. But they are ohhhh so fun, and I think they are really pretty!

I also want to say thank you to everyone who sent your best wishes on my previous post! I have tried to respond to all the comments, but there still are a few registered with noreply-comment...

Happy quilting!
Sincerely, Anne Ida

These just keep getting better and better. O and congratulations on getting your quilt into the book! What an honor.

They are GORGEOUS!! I have always loved that block but have never attempted one. I bought Marti Michell's feathered star templates. They are made of the same material as the rulers we use with rotary cutting. So you can rotary cut the perfect pieces using the templates. Looking at your gorgeous feathered stars makes me want to go try them out!

And so perfect pieced, you are a very good patchworker!!!And the colour combination is great, I'm particularly fond of the greens!

Thye are lovely - far to "fussy" for me. (I would have to hire a sewer - or buy a finished top to get one of those into my collection.)

feathered stars are my favorite block also! I have ALL the HST ready for 9 blocks (I THINK) and a nine patch based setting from a magazine from a few years ago. I think you spurred me on to work on them! After all, with all those HST done, that is most of the work! Yours are lovely!

WOW, WOW, WOW ! Splendid !

OK, dear, it is obvious that you will open a class - sooner or later - and teach your talents. So, no matter when or where, would you pleazzzzzze book one seat for me - first row, first place, just next to you :>) - I promise I won't talk, nor ask any question (of course I can do that !), I'll just look, and listen, and look, and listen.... I'll work hard, and I'll be very obedient (of course, I'm serious !)

KLEM KLEM KLEM OG SMILLER :)

Beautiful blocks Anne Ida !!

I had to giggle when I read about the baby basket.
I have a similar experience with a friend's baby basket. I am absolutely a quilter, not a tailor / domestic seamstress LOL

You'll never believe this - well, I hope you do. Its true.

Yesterday I was cleaning the living room and started thinking about you and the feathered star. I was thinking how you were encouraging me to make one.
