Remember these red and white swap blocks? Ever since I received them I have been pondering how to set them, and haven't really come up with a good plan - so today I decided to go simple! Just add some white sashing and some dark red cornerstones:
Sorry it looks so wrinkled, I know it still needs to be pressed, but my shoulders need a break after all those long seams. And I still haven't the faintest clue to what to do for borders - maybe just a narrow white inner border and a solid red outer border? What would you do?
Hope you have had a creative weekend!
Hugs and stitches from

You have had a productive day, I have not...this will turn out to be a very nice quilt, as always. I love your rack system also!
This is wonderful!!!
Very good job!!!
I would just have a broad red border on the out-side of the quilt, as it is :o)but that's just me.......
My weekend has been excelent :o)
Hugs :O)
Det enkle er ofte det beste! Kjempelekkert så langt. Ha'kke peiling hva du bør gjrøe med kanten, men venter spent på å få se hva du velger ;-)
I think the border needs to be simple and red :) It looks great.
Dette var flott! Rødt og hvitt er bare så lekkert! Jeg tror jeg ville valgt en rød, ikke altfor bred ramme. God påske!
Great looking quilt. Yes, simple borders would be the best and then some fancy quilting would do the trick. Take care.
It's a beauty and I agree with your idea for a border. 8-))) Lucky you!
that was a good plan - it's looks great! Are you interested in piecing a border? Red flying geese might look good.
They all look so lovely together sweetie!! Id go with a simple border, so you dont distract attention from the blocks!! Great job!!
Big hugs xxx
It looks wonderful! I think a red zigzag border on white would look cool.
Your work is always so beautiful!
A lovely way to display your quilts.
Lovely quilt !
What comes to mind is first a white border, then a border with red with red and white half square triangles (triangle paper ?) and then another border, red.
All the triangles in the blocks catch my eyes and will benefit from being repeated in the borders. You can use a lot of red scraps for the second border.
I think the narrow white border followed by a wider red border sounds perfect.
Oh I like Vicki's idea about a pieced border!!! :)
These blocks, I remember falling in love with them and now that they're all pulled together - oh my - well they're fantastic!
Lovely red and white blocks. How about a thin white border followed by a slightly wider red one?
You could make a border of hourglass blocks. I think they are stunnig as a border. Or you could make rows of flying geese... I bet you'll make something nice anyway:O) good luck, and look forward to see how it turns out:O)
Ooh, very nice! :-)
I think simple is the best for these blocks! It looks wonderful!
Så flott den blei. Jeg synes Hannes forslag til rammer rundt høres veldig spennende ut. Hvis du har EQ kan du jo tegne litt der og få et inntrykk av hvordan forslaget hennes vil se ut. Ha en fortsatt god påske.
