Bound, washed and in the park

Listening to the distant hum of traffic and the song of church bells the Charity Crosses quilt and I took a walk in the park this morning. Yes, it is FINISHED:

Nice view of the city from up there, hm?

The back of the quilt:

The pattern called for 35 blocks. Since there were 42 squares in the layer cake, and I made blocks from all of them, I had a choice of either adding an extra row to the top, or use the extra seven for something else. I have plans of using this as a sofa quilt, and wanted a pretty back :o)

Happy Sunday!

Oh lordy bee somebody hold me back! I just want to jump thru the screen and feel that quilt. As a matter of fact, nap time is coming up shortly - can I borrow this dreamy quilt for a few winks? Friend, oh my friend, this is a quilt I really dig. I love the blocks - I ABSOLUTELY love the border. Great pick. And the backing. What a nice treatment and surprise. You make me smile!!!

Kjempeflott teppe!

Love everything about your Charity Crosses Quilt, the colors, the quilting, the design. Great work, well done. Love the back as well. I think adding a touch of the front to the back is a great way to tie the front and back of the quilt together.

Again, well done! Have a super great day.

The view from the park is amazing. Great place to photograph the quilt.

Loved the quilt you've just finished and the backing looks great and effective using the rest of the blocks. Very stylish!!
