Over the last few weeks I have been quilting on the joint project Rose and I started while I was visiting in Tassie:
I still have to do the binding, but I thought I'd share it at this stage. The pattern is Twin Sisters, but we started calling it the Pickled Cabbage quilt because the colour and pattern of one of the fabrics reminds me a lot of pickled cabbage (surkål) *lol*:
What we did was to make a whole bunch of blocks together and pile them up, and once we had enough, we picked from the pile as we stitched the tops together. That way we each got a bit of each other's work in our quilts :o) Rose will show her version when she is ready; up to now she has been busy working on her new designs - if you haven't already seen them, hop over and have a look at her redwork designs! And I know we have more beautiful projects to expect from this talented lady in time to come!
Wishing everyone a continuing happy Easter with a picture of what I woke to yesterday morning! ...and I thought spring was here!

A beautiful quilt, Anne Ida! A wonderful keepsake from your travels across this big world! I do love the colors, not so much the white snow! (We have the same here this morning)

Love both the pattern and the name of your pickled cabbage quilt - lol ! We have had snow here today also. Roll on Spring !!
This is just stunning! And typical Rose pallette? What's the name of the fabric? You've been clever as always!
This quilt is a beauty !!
We also have snow but on the ground it melts away.
Ideal weather for quilting !

Happy Easter. Snow is fun, when you know it will melt soon and won't be back in a big way again. I hope. The quilt is beautiful - I love the fabric selection.
Wow - your quilt is wonderful. And how nice to have some blocks stitched by Rose. Good luck with the binding. Hope you are having a happy Easter.
What a wonder to wake up to! Have seen photos of you on many Tassies girls blogs, have now finally found your blog.
Love the name of your quilt, although it doesnt do it justice- pickled cabbage smells bad and your quilt looks beautiful. Rather clever contradiction I suppose!!
Happy Stitching, Cathy
