Quilted Diamonds

Catherine over at Quilt Obsession have over her latest posts been showing some of her gorgeous quilted diamonds - made from the patterns in Linda Franz's books Quilted Diamonds 1 & 2. I have had these books on my shelf for some years, and have wanted to try to piece some, and inspired by Catherine's posts I pieced my first three diamonds from the second book yesterday:

6: She was come to be happy, and she felt happy already; 49: Sensible, good humored, lively: 1: Miss Elizabeth's star

They are not perfect, but I'm happy with my first attempts - I think there will be more diamonds in my future :o)

Hope you all have a great weekend!
Sincerely, Anne Ida

They look lovely... I did a few years ago, but Dear Jane was my bigger obsession so stopped with them...

I love the fabrics! Are they Japanese taupes?

Oh My Goodness, these are beautiful, Anne Ida! I also bought this book from the recommendation of someone on the SBS list, but I haven't been brave enough to try yet (or frankly haven't had the time to start something new). Fantastic! You are so amazing.

Those blocks are very pretty, and so delicate looking. Did you hand piece them?

The fabrics are very romantic and the piecing is wonderful. It will become a beautiful elegant ladylike quilt when finished. Take care.

Real exiting til visit your blog here from Norway. I should have travelled a lot more, but with small children, it's not so easy. Instead I can visit blogs like yours ;-)

Kjempefine arbeider også!

Have a happy easter holiday!
