A bit of a draught...

Not much sewing/quilting going on here. I really haven't been in the mood, even though there's no reason for that. Guess it's just one of those times :o) For the last few weeks all I have to show for is one block - not perfect and it took me three days:

Now what is this? you might wonder. Well... My least favorits block (when it comes to looks) in the DJ quilt is the K7-Rose of Sharing, I just think it looks like a "blob". So I have not been looking forward to making it. Then a while back I saw Hanne had made a version of this block in two colours, and she had cut it wrong - giving it a totally different appearance, and I LOVED it! So I decided, why not make a "wrong" K7 for my DJ?

Hope you all have had an enjoyable weekend!
Hugs and stitches from

There is no wrong way to make a DJ block - just your way and your joy of the moment :-)

I love that DJ block but not set on a block square but as is. Quilted with some batting in it for a hot plate trivet or without/with batting for a bread basket serving hot rolls or hot homemade bread sliced!
It is truly beautiful.
I'd be so happy if you'd send me the pattern and photo.

"Why not?" she says!

Now that's what I like about you. That and many more things but this is one of 'em.

Tag, you're it! Open your FIRST photo folder. Now find the TENTH picture. Post that picture on your blog and then tell us the story of the picture! Then tag FIVE friends and have them do the same!

:-)

Oh, and call me when you get the chance ... !! :-)

That's how I made my block for my Valentine's DJ quilt. Then it looks like hearts and not a blog. Cute!

Looks good to me! :)

I haven't felt like quilting either. Mostly because it's been warm and I've been doing a lot more gardening in my spare time, too hot to sew! LOL*

I am with you on not liking some of the DJ blocks. I only substituted one that I simply did not care for on the quilt, but now as I look back, I wish I had done more of that. Your modified block looks nice to me - but then I am very partial to anything blue.

Your block looks great. Maybe we will begin to sew when summer is over, hopefully sooner, I haven´t done a thing in weeks.
