I have been visiting my Aunt and Uncle since Friday afternoon, so I figured they would be something small and handy to bring along. There were enough paper for eight flowers in the packet, and look:
All eight are pieced, and they were so quick and fun to do! The fabrics are Sunkissed by Sweetwater, cut from a charm pack. The flowers are ca 4" finished, so I was able to cut six petals from each charm square. There's an idea for how to use more of the charm squares for setting the flowers swirling around in my head - think I'll have a cute spring/summer table topper soon :-)

Never thought I would like doing english paper piecing again, but Sue's way is so fun. The glue pen is a revolution and a must!
Wow, Anne Ida, your hexagons are half hex and half circle. That's so interesting! Did the papers come that way? Or did you make your own for the circle ones?
Your hexagons are very pretty. I'm tempted to try that shape hexagon myself. :) Happy Stitching,
Love your flowers! I've always loved english paper-piecing, and I wished I had been able to go and see Sue Daley. She really has some beautiful quilts.
Look forward to see what you're up to with your flowers!
Happy easter! :-)
What a clever idea to glue-baste them. I'll have to give that a go. Thanks for the idea.
Those are so cute!
Hi.
Your spring flowers are sooo cute - i have to start on mine too.
:-)
Laila
Too cute! I'm not a huge fan of English paper piecing, but this little flower is so sweet...I'm tempted :o)
Sukkertøy for øyet di søte blomsteene du har sydd :)
Ønsker deg og dine ei flott og solrik påske med mye kos og glede. Påskeklem :)
