Round We Go The Weekend

Friday night was this month's Friday Night Sew In, and I prepared for an evening of stitching with a bit of a cheese overload (sooo good *lol*) and a glass of white wine, enjoying my newly finished red snowflake table topper

Earlier in the day I had been to the post office to pick up the newest addition to my library of quilt books

so I have to admit a lot of my sewing time was spent flipping through the pages and drooling over the colorful photos

However I did get one more Round We Go block put together

My basket of blocks is really starting to fill up - however it doesn't look like I have made a dent in my basket of blues - mostly I have been using up small scraps so far

Today is Sunday and time for some more slow stitching - have one more block on the go that I've been stitching on over coffee this morning:

Pop over to these fun blogs to see what blogland is up to this weekend:

Friday Night Sew In over at Wendy's place

Slow Sunday Stitching over at Kathy's Quilts

Oh Scrap! over at Cynthia's place Quilting is more fun than housework

Thanks for hosting the social blogland sew-togethers, ladies!
Hugs and stitches from Anne Ida

I love how perfectly round that block looks. Your snowflake table topper is gorgeous. It goes well with the wine. LOL

Great progress on your circles. They may not use up all those blue scraps, but they will be beautiful!

I love your 'Round We Go' blocks! I have an EPP project of Hexie Stars going on and it is so much fun to see the pile of finished blocks come together! You friday night sew in sounds like the perfect way to spend the eveining! A glass of wine and sewing...I may have to try that too!

Love to EPP and your blocks are beautiful. It's funny how the more we use our fabrics, the faster they multiply!

Beautiful circles, I think we all get sidetracked by those lovely books instead of stitching ;)

Don't get any cheese or wine on your topper! At least it is white wine. I didn't get a chance to quilt mine yet. Had to stain the front porch floor while the weather was good.

Those are complex little blocks - they look lovely in the blues! How nice to get to use your table topper. I love when I get to use the things I have made.

I do love those Round We go blocks. How many do you have to make? Your red snowflake looks good too. I will have to post another picture of mine now that I have it quilted. I think it needs a little press though and it really crinkled up in the wash. It will be going to my neice on Monday for her birthday.
